LOCH DOON
A scenic and immensely historic area on the Ayrshire/Stewarty border near
DALMELLINGTON

The aim of this small site is to allow surfers a pictorial visit to this special corner of Ayrshire's Doon Valley.

Donald L Reid has a large number of photos he has taken of Loch Doon over the years. If anyone wishes copies, please send a CD and SAE and he will happily forward copies which can be freely used.

CAN YOU HELP!

Donald is looking for YOUR HELP. He is currently researching the life of MATTHEW ANDERSON, policeman-poet of the Ayrshire Constabulary. If you have any information or anecdotes, please get in touch at the address shown above. He has permission from the grandson of the police-man-poet, also MATTHEW ANDERSON, to reproduce his work and he hopes at some juncture to bring some of his Doon Valley poems into print for the benefit of today's generation. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
